Soo Much

I’m not sure if it is something we will out grow with age, but Alex and I have this almost obsession with decorating our apartment with items that pertain to our interests.  I think most people, when decorating their places, will stick to a certain color scheme or “look”, but Alex and I see something like my Tardis cookie jar, or his legendary edition Halo Reach statue and this “That would look awesome in the apartment!”

But the one item we obsess over more than anything is art and prints.  We already own more art than we can display in our tiny apartment, but some how we always find ourselves buying (or wanting to buy) more. Below you will find some of our favorites (that we either own, or want to own).

For those of you who are unaware, this will be my first Halloween that I have my own place to decorate as I please.  I know it’s not even October yet, but I like to prepare early!  So tonight I will take you on a tour of how I’ve decorated my first apartment for Halloween. *I apologize for the quality of the pictures. The lighting in my apartment isn’t great and I don’t have a working digital camera, so these were taken with my phone and/or Alex’s iPod.

This weeks site we love is Eric Tan’s blog :   The Art (and Random Adventures) of Eric Tan

Yesterday Alex and I visited Disneyland for the first time in months.  One of our favorite things to do there is visit the gallery and look through all the prints they have for sale.  While we were doing so, I noticed a number of prints by Eric Tan, thus why he came to mind today while we were trying to figure out what to make this week’s “Site we love”.

Alex and I are both huge fans of retro style art, and if you apply that to pop culture, we’re in love.  Eric Tan does this beautifully, probably more beautifully than almost anyone else I know. So be sure to visit his blog and scroll through his posts. He’s got some great ones from Wall-E, The Incredibles and Indiana Jones!

In attempts to start updating more regularly, I’m starting up a new weekly topic.. Sites We Love. So, for our first site we chose TeeFury.

Teefury is a t-shirt webstore that sells a new shirt every 24 hours, for only $9.  It’s quite a brilliant idea if you think about it.  Each day a different shirt, 24 hours and it’s gone. So if they’re selling a shirt you like.. you have to decide if you really want the shirt, or if you can live with out it.  It just sucks if they’re selling a shirt you want and you are broke, or if you go a day without checking the site and miss a shirt you wanted.  This has happened to me a few times.

Every now and then I come across something on the internet that is so cracktastically wonderful and insane that I want to bake cookies for whoever is responsible for it.
